I look back and laugh at myself

I remember way back when I was going to make IJ my new home and leave teh ebil of LJ behind forever. Or something.

Good times.

<strike>Why, yes, this post is completely pointless. Thank you for asking.

Modern feminism…hmm, such a confusing word. What is it, exactly? Let’s define it as a choice to do what you feel is best for you…and let’s find if it really applies. What about the Yates case? She kills her children for their own “good” and it is her choice - she systematically drowned them, despite their struggles, put them in bed in a pretty little tableau, and called 911. She feels this is best for her, because now she cannot lead them into hell. A redemption for her sins. I suppose this is feminism. [1]

In Which I Crime Show-Geek for a Bit

Wow, I've been bummed most of today at the lack of appropriate places to vent about last night's new episodes of Criminal Minds (3x14 "Damaged") and CSI: New York (4x15 "DOA for a Day"). I only just struck upon the realization that, duh, I have online journals. Can I pass Go now?

Cut for Spoilers )

Eyed LJ Lately?

Y'know, the main reason I've been putting off moving on from LJ is because most of fandom as I take part in it is still over there. Most of my fandom-related interests are, in fact, moot on IJ. As fandom is what led me to creating an LJ account in the first place, I've been dragging my feet, waiting for others to catch up with me before settling in.

I have the sneaking suspicion that I probably won't have to wait for too much longer.

EDIT: I slept on the issue. Threw my back out of alignment, but realized that the reason I'm being so slow about leaving LJ, and the reason I probably won't ever leave permanently, is because I still love like tolerate enjoy it, on several levels, in spite of everything. Ho hum.

So, This is IJ...

I must say that I like what I see.

... And that's all I really have to say at all.

I'm mostly here for the communities.
